Be a Session Chair at the Next SETAC North America Annual Meeting
Do you have advanced knowledge of a specific topic in environmental toxicology and chemistry? Are you passionate about sharing that knowledge, and do you have a network of colleagues who are equally knowledgeable and passionate about the research area? Then propose a session that is timely, relevant and of local (California), national or international interest. We are especially interested in proposals related to the meeting theme “Bridging Divides Between Environmental Stewardship and Economic Development.”
Be sure that your proposal’s description clearly and completely reflects both content and educational goals, as well as a plan to recruit 5–6 designated presenters and a well-defined focus and the likelihood of capturing a well-rounded perspective on the topic.
Session chairs and co-chairs are vitally important to the success of the annual meeting. Before you submit a session proposal, please make sure you have read the SETAC North America Session Chair job description and guidance document. If your session is included in the call for abstracts, you will be asked to review and provide recommendations for all abstracts that are submitted to your session. If your session is subsequently accepted for inclusion in the Sacramento meeting program, you will be responsible for organizing the order of presentations and for corresponding with presenters to ensure a high-quality session. SETAC does not provide financial assistance for chairing a session.
